Adnan Januzaj came on after an hour for Borussia Dortmund against Darmstadt on Sunday and made an immediate impact from the bench.
The Belgian youngster threaded a great through-ball to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and the in-form striker made no mistake to give Dortmund a 2-1 lead.
A foul from Januzaj on the half-way line right at the end of the game unfortunately led to Darmstadt’s last minute equaliser but Januzaj can’t really be blamed for that as the defence should have cleared it.
It’s great to see Januzaj coming on for Reus to have the impact he did and that sort of thing won’t go unnoticed by Dortmund’s manager Tuchel.

Watching Januzaj play against Darmstadt, you could see his strength work in the summer had built up. He was typically confident running at the ball but had the physical presence to hold off defenders, whereas previously he could have been pushed off the ball easily.
Whether this season proves to be an overall success for Januzaj remains to be seen but any sort of injury to Reus or Shinji Kagawa could well see him thrown into the starting XI on a regular basis.
