Confirmed team news: Everton vs Manchester United

Manchester United: De Gea; Darmian, Smalling, Jones, Rojo; Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin; Mata, Herrera, Rooney; Martial

Subs: Johnstone, Blind, Carrick, Lingard, Pereira, Fellaini, Memphis

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has made four changes to the side that lost against Arsenal last time out for the game against Everton this afternoon.

Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, Morgan Schneiderlin and Ander Herrera all come into the side as Man United look to bounce back from the 3-0 defeat to Arsene Wenger’s side.

The changes mean Memphis Depay and Daley Blind drop to the substitute’s bench, while there is also no room for Michael Carrick.

Sam Johnstone starts on the bench as Sergio Romero is not included in the squad altogether.

A win for United is crucial if they are to regain the momentum they had before the Arsenal clash. Lose against Everton and suddenly the squad and van Gaal will come under pressure.
