Manchester United take 18-man travelling squad to Everton

Manchester United’s 18-man travelling squad for today’s game against Everton sees the return of Marcos Rojo and Ander Herrera and also Jesse Lingard.

With Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young both missing, it is an opportunity for Lingard to get in the match day squad and there is every chance he could get some minutes because Louis van Gaal isn’t spoiled for options out wide.

As for Herrera and Rojo, neither of them are fit to play the full 90 minutes so it will be interesting to see whether van Gaal plays either of them from the start or chooses to bring them on later in the game, if at all.

James Wilson unfortunately finds himself back out of the squad having came on for his first Premier League appearance this season in the 3-0 loss to Arsenal.

Overall, it’s the squad which many expected to see apart from a couple of surprises, namely in Lingard’s inclusion and Wilson’s exclusion.
