Luke Shaw thanks PSV fans for ‘get well soon’ banner

Luke Shaw has thanked the travelling PSV fans for a ‘get well soon’ banner which they will be unfurling tonight at Old Trafford.

It was in the reverse tie against PSV in September that Shaw suffered a horrific double leg break and it is a very nice touch from the Dutch fans to design, print and bring this banner all the way over to Manchester from Eindhoven.

Shaw is looking forward to the game tonight against PSV. He’ll obviously be disappointed not to be out there with his team-mates playing but it is what it is.

Who’s likely to be Shaw’s replacement this evening? Marcos Rojo is the obvious choice and he’s been improving in that role the more he plays there. He should be used to it given that he plays there for Argentina.

Daley Blind could potentially slot in there if van Gaal wanted but Rojo is who I expect to see starting there. He’s no Shaw but we’ve got to simply replace him until he is fully fit. When he is, Rojo might find it difficult to get any game time.
