Nick Powell made a very good impression on Manchester United fans on Monday night in his second game since returning from injury.
The 21-year-old played in an attacking role and alongside the excellent Marouane Fellaini, Powell was one of Man United’s stand-out performers.
After such a long time out with injury, United fans are delighted to see Powell doing so well in the early stages of his comeback to competitive football.
Nick Powell still has to work hard to get back to full fitness!! ???

Nick Powell is alive. Funny how he survived the Van Gaal chop. So talented and still quite young seeing as he's been at United since 2012.

Powell off after 81 minutes. Worked so hard on his own up front, linked play well and made good runs. Really deserved that goal.

I’ve always been a big fan of Powell ever since watching him in the play-off final for Crewe Alexandra in 2012 after a deal was already announced that he would be joining. You could see right there that he enjoyed the big stage and wasn’t scared by it – not every player shares that trait, especially a teenager.
Powell has now played in two consecutive U21s games and sandwiched in between them was a training session with United’s first-team, so it’s gone as well as he could have hoped at this stage and it’s very encouraging to see him scoring in just his second appearance.
Next up for Powell will more than likely be an U21s game against Leicester City in two weeks, that is unless Louis van Gaal decides to call him up to the senior team far sooner than expected.
