Paul Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola has fuelled speculation linking the Frenchman with a move away from Juventus, just days after he was spotted in Manchester.
Pogba has been in high demand for some time now, with clubs such as Manchester United, Barcelona and Manchester City all reportedly interested in the 22-year-old’s services.
Despite his side struggling this year, the midfielder was an integral part of the Juventus team that won Serie A and reached the final of the Champions League last season, and now Raiola has hinted at a summer exit for his client.
“He won’t move in January,” Raiola said.
“He expressed his desire to finish the year at Juve, and the big players rarely move in January. June, however, is very far away. In terms of the transfer market, it’s a different time, almost a different century.”
While there is no doubting Sir Alex Ferguson’s legendary status amongst United fans, his decision to let Pogba leave the club is regarded as a poor one, with the Frenchman now one of the finest box-to-box midfielders in the world at just 22 years old.
As well as being technically gifted, Pogba has been lauded for his aggression, strength and ability to take games by the scruff of the neck, something which many United fans feel the team has lacked since the departures of Roy Keane and Paul Scholes. While Pogba would no doubt significantly increase United’s chances of winning silverware, it could be hard to convince the Glazer’s to provide the funds to re-sign a player that they let go for almost nothing just three years ago.
