Transfer round up: Felipe Anderson refuses to rule out Manchester United move

Manchester United were handed a boost in their pursuit of Lazio’s Felipe Anderson on Saturday as he refused to rule out a move to Old Trafford.

The Brazilian, who is reportedly Man United’s prime transfer target in the January transfer window, admitted he does not know if he will still be at Lazio next month.

“Will I be a Lazio player in February? I don’t know, I am concentrated on doing my job and doing well here,” he said.

This week, Lazio director Igli Tare claimed that United had made a €50m bid for Anderson in the summer which was rejected.

Whether this is a negotiating tactic or an attempt to put off United remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, Ben Pearson is reportedly close to joining Preston North End for £100,000. The United youngster was recently recalled from a loan at Barnsley. He will be in good company if he does end up at Preston as Sam Johnstone also moved there recently on a short-term deal.
