Regan Poole is finally free to play for Manchester United having been granted his international clearance.

The Welsh youngster was signed by Man United from Newport County during the summer but as he was brought in from the Welsh FA, international clearance had to be given to him before he could play.

After months of waiting, that has now been given to Poole and he’s delighted to finally be eligible for selection.

Unfortunately for Poole, he’ll be coming into United’s U18s when they are in the worst run of form for some time. With 12 straight defeats, United’s youngsters are in disarray and there has to be a seismic shift for them to improve their fortunes.

RoShaun Williams and Axel Tuanzebe moving up to the U21s as well as some others has certainly weakened their squad but they still have enough quality not to be losing so many games on the bounce.

I’m looking forward to seeing Poole in action for the U18 and am sure he’s delighted that he can now finally play for his new club. Welcome to United, Regan.
