Marcus Rashford: Manchester United debut was a ‘dream’

Marcus Rashford has revealed that it was an “amazing feeling” to score twice on his Manchester United debut in the 5-1 win over FC Midtjylland in the Europa League on Thursday.

Rashford was only included in the starting lineup at Old Trafford late on after Anthony Martial picked up an injury during the warm-up.

The 18-year-old went on to bag a brace as Man United advanced to the next stage of the Europa League.

In what has largely been a season to forget for United, Rashford provided one of the performances of the campaign on Thursday.

United have a long history of bringing through young talent and playing attacking football and supporters saw both against Midtjylland.

If Martial fails to make a swift recovery, it is likely that Rashford will line up against Arsenal on Sunday. While his inexperience may be a source of worry for fans, the player himself will be looking to build on the momentum he has garnered for himself.
