Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin has insisted his side will be “ready” ahead of the Premier League match against Manchester United on Sunday.
Arsene Wenger’s side have title aspirations having beaten leaders Leicester City 2-1 in their last league outing.
Man United, meanwhile, are struggling to qualify for the Champions League, with a 2-1 defeat against Sunderland leaving them in fifth place, six points behind fourth-placed Manchester City. Coquelin believes Arsenal will find it tough against United despite their troubles this term.
“I think it’s been a difficult (season) for Man United but in big games like this, we know that they’re going to turn up, because everyone loves these kind of matches,” Coquelin said.
“It would be a massive win for them to beat us. But we’re going to be ready. Man United are always going to be a great team. Even if they had a bad spell, they still have a strong squad.”
United have gained some momentum for themselves in recent weeks following convincing victories over Shrewsbury and FC Midtjylland in the FA Cup and Europa League, respectively.
However, Arsenal will provide a much sterner test at Old Trafford. With United having to contend with a number of injuries as of late, it is likely that Louis van Gaal’s side will be up against it against the Gunners.
