Former midfielder Anderson congratulates Man United on 3-2 win over Arsenal

For all his faults as a footballer at Manchester United, Anderson never failed to entertain and he couldn’t help but get involved in the celebrations against Arsenal.

Marcus Rashford‘s brace and Ander Herrera‘s deflected effort gave Man United a vital win over title challenging Arsenal which keeps the top four race still open.

Anderson took to Instagram to congratulate his former club on their 3-2 win: “Very good win boys, wish the club and the boys all the best haha ?”

Anderson was always a character at United and I think that endearing nature earned him a bit more patience from fans than he would ever have been afforded but it ultimately ended in him leaving the club which was absolutely the right decision.

That win over Arsenal really felt like a time-warp because it’s been such a long time since we’ve had a game like that against them. Goals galore, controversy, wild celebrations, nerves and managers getting riled up on the sidelines – it was brilliant.

If we can do that between now and the end of the season then a late push for the top four isn’t out of sight.
