Will Keane begins rehabilitation after surgery on groin injury

Will Keane has undergone surgery on a groin injury and has immediately started his rehabilitation.

The 23-year-old striker suffered the injury only ten minutes after he came off the bench against Shrewsbury Town when he pulled up following a shot on goal.

Louis van Gaal confirmed last week Keane would need surgery and now that’s been completed, he can begin his road to recovery.

Day 1 of Rehab complete 👍🏻💪🏻 finishing off with some much needed icing!

If anyone deserved some good luck with fitness and injuries it was Keane after two years of turmoil but this latest cruel setback was the opposite of what he needed.

However, Keane’s showed great mental strength so far in his career to get through his injuries and by the looks of his picture this surgery was minor, so hopefully he’ll be back in the gym in no time at all.

Unfortunately for Keane, injuries are taking away his chances at United and as Marcus Rashford has showed in the last two weeks, football waits for nobody. When he does return from injury, it might well be his last chance to make a name for himself at United.
