Roundup: Thomas Muller backs Bastian Schweinsteiger to make Euros

Here is the latest Manchester United news and gossip.

Thomas Muller has insisted that there is still time for Man United’s Bastian Schweinsteiger to recover in time to feature for Germany at the European Championships this summer.

There are fears that Schweinsteiger’s season is over after he suffered a knee injury in training with the national side this week but Muller is still hopeful of playing with him at the Euros.

United are reportedly considering offering Marcus Rashford a new contract following the 18-year-old’s rise to prominence this season.

Rashford has scored five goals in eight games since his debut for the club last month, with his most recent strike coming in the 1-0 win over Manchester City last weekend.

Finally, Joel Castro Pereira has insisted that he is ready to play for the first team if anything happens to Sergio Romero and David de Gea, while Roy Keane has praised Zlatan Ibrahimovic amid rumours that United are interested in signing the Swede, who is a free agent in the summer.
