Rashford has burst onto the scene at Old Trafford in recent months, scoring five goals in nine appearances since his debut for Man United in February.
Martial, who has been equally as impressive for United over the course of the campaign, was full of praise for Rashford.
“There’s good young players at Manchester. Marcus [Rashford] has benefited from the injuries of other players to get some game time. The manager gave him a chance, and he took it,” Martial said.
“He’s played really well, and already has five goals. I’m happy for him. When I played as a No.9, sometimes I didn’t score. I hope Marcus will continue to score and help us win.”
Rashford has a lot of work ahead of him but he has made the best possible start to his United career and it is hard not to get swept up in the romanticism of a young Mancunian flourishing in the first team.
