Manchester United news round-up including Ibrahimovic, Mourinho and Di Maria

Here is the latest Manchester United transfer news and gossip.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic would be interested in a move to Manchester United this summer if Louis van Gaal left Old Trafford at the end of the campaign, according to Sky Sports News. The 34-year-old’s contract at Paris Saint-Germain expires this summer and he has allegedly attracted interest from a number of top European clubs, with Man United, Chelsea and Arsenal all said to be keen.

Angel di Maria has revealed that he is “very happy” at Paris Saint-Germain under Laurent Blanc following a difficult spell at Man United. The Argentinian joined Man United from Real Madrid in 2014 but injuries and a lack of form meant his time at Old Trafford went down as a failure.

ESPN have suggested that Jose Mourinho remains confident of landing the Man United job despite reports suggesting that van Gaal will stay on next season. There was speculation last week that the Dutchman feels he will stay at Old Trafford next term despite the huge amount of pressure he has come under over the course of the campaign.

Lastly, Nani has criticised van Gaal for treating the club’s players like “kids”. Nani joined Man United in 2007 but he was deemed surplus to requirements by van Gaal and sold to Fenerbahce for £5m last summer following a loan spell at Sporting Lisbon.
