Manchester United news round-up including Mourinho, Ibrahimovic and Manolas

Here is the latest Manchester United transfer news and gossip.

Thiago Silva believes Zlatan Ibrahimovic would be taking a step down if he left Paris Saint-Germain for the Premier League. The 34-year-old’s contract at PSG expires at the end of the campaign and he has been strongly linked with the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea.

Man United have joined Manchester City, Southampton and Chelsea in the race to sign Roma defender Kostas Manolas, according to Mail Online. Manolas signed for Roma from Olympiacos in 2014 for £12m and he has impressed in Italy following a set of good performances.

Diego Forlan feels Man United should turn their attention to their attention to Jose Mourinho and cannot afford to take a risk appointing Ryan Giggs as Louis van Gaal‘s successor. Fans are concerned that Giggs, with his almost complete lack of experience, is not the right man to take over at Old Trafford next campaign.

Anthony Martial has praised Man United’s fans and van Gaal for helping him to settle in at the club. The Frenchman has been in excellent form at Old Trafford over the course of the campaign since his summer move from Monaco for an initial £36m.
