Louis van Gaal: Marcus Rashford is not injured

Louis van Gaal has insisted that Marcus Rashford is not injured following Manchester United’s 2-0 win over Crystal Palace on Wednesday.

Rashford looked to be struggling after being on the receiving end of a heavy challenge at Old Trafford during the second half.

He was substituted for Memphis Depay after 64 minutes played but van Gaal claimed that Rashford only suffered a knock:

The news will come as a relief to supporters ahead of United’s FA Cup semi-final against Everton on Saturday.

Rashford has been in scintillating form recently, scoring seven goals since his debut for the club in February.

But it was his all-round game that was much improved against Palace. Rashford had a sound presence of mind and his movement and vision was superb. You get the sense that he will play a big part if United are to reach the Cup final.
