Alan Shearer has singled out the ‘breathtaking’ Anthony Martial for praise after his performance for Manchester United in the 2-1 win over Everton.
His brilliant assist for Marouane Fellaini got the ball rolling for Man United in the first half but it was his magnificent and dramatic late winner which his performance will be remembered for.
It was yet another game where Martial has shone for Man United and Shearer made it clear how impressed he has been with the 20-year-old.
Speaking after the game he said: “Martial has had a field day out there today. He has been breathtaking for Man United.”

Breathtaking. Brilliant. Sensational. Superb. Outstanding. Superlative overload. Describe Martial however you want. He’s just a super player who we’re lucky to have.
Everton had absolutely no answer to Martial. Their defence had twisted blood within five minutes and it never thinned out. They’ll be going to bed tonight with their heads spinning.
Back in the summer the English press were rubbing their hands together at the fact we paid €50m for Martial. ‘What a waste of money’ they exclaimed. Now, with a mouth full of humble pie and a large portion of egg on their face, Martial is making them eat their words with every passing performance.
