Manchester United news round-up including Mourinho, Martial and Valdes

Here is the latest Manchester United transfer news and gossip.

Jose Mourinho is expected to make a decision on his next job this week, according to The Telegraph. The Portuguese boss has been heavily linked with a move to replace Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford this summer since he was sacked by Chelsea last December. In their piece on Mourinho, The Telegraph’s Sam Wallace and John Percy say Jose wants to be convinced that the structure at Old Traffrod is in place to allow him to succeed before he commits his future at the club.

Anthony Martial insists he hasn’t been affected by his price tag at Man United this season. The Frenchman arrived at Old Trafford last summer from Monaco as the most expensive teenager in football history, United splashed out £36m on the 20-year-old and he has continuously proven he was worth every penny with 15 goals in 46 games, despite being played out on the wings.

Espanyol are allegedly interested in signing Victor Valdes when his Man United contract expires in June. The Spaniard recently returned to Old Trafford after joining Standard Liege on loan in January as the club decided to give their younger players more opportunities as the league season draws to a close.

Man United are to take Wisla Krakow goalkeeper Kacper Chorążka on trial this May. The 17-year-old will come over to Manchester in the second half of May to undergo a week long trial at Carrington, much like 16-year-old South African born defender Keith Groeneveld completed last week.
