Manchester United fans were hugely impressed with Marcus Rashford during their side’s 3-1 win over Bournemouth on Tuesday night in the Premier League.
The teenager capped off a momentous couple of days, in which he received a call-up to England’s provisional 26-man squad for Euro 2016, with another goal and an imposing display at Old Trafford.
Man United fans and pundits wasted no time in heaping praise on the 18-year-old:
3 zip… Been impressed again tonight by Rashford.. Pushing door down to make final @England squad! ??

It's been a fairytale for Vardy – but Rashford's emergence could be THE story of the season

Not just the goal, which was brilliant, but the all round play is outrageous. Rashford's intelligence and play is advanced already.

For somebody who only emerged in February, Rashford has achieved a lot: scoring the winner on his debut; effectively ending both Arsenal and Manchester City’s title challenge (along with Martin Demichelis’ career); relegating Aston Villa; scoring in the last ever FA Cup game at Upton Park; and, to cap it all off, a first national team call-up.
His rise has been astronomical, and that much more exceptional in the context of United’s lack of boldness in front of goal under Louis van Gaal.
The most exciting thing, however, is that Rashford hasn’t stopped developing; the maturity and awareness he showed on the ball belied his age, and his strike on 74 minutes signified just how confident and composed the youngster is.
