Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has revealed he meets with Manchester United every year amid speculation suggesting his clients could move to Old Trafford.
Raiola represents the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pogba – who have all been linked with a move to Man United this summer.
The Frenchman is contracted to Juventus until the summer of 2019 and made 48 appearances across all competitions for the Italian side last season, helping the club clinch a Serie A and Coppa Italia double.
Speaking about a potential transfer, Raiola insists Madrid are in pole position to land Pogba’s services.
“It is not a secret. Every year I meet with Madrid, but also with United, Barcelona, City, Liverpool, Chelsea,” he said.
“That is my job. In the last two years my relationship with Real Madrid is clear and professional. Now there is serious dialogue, it’s positive.
“There are other important clubs like United, that was part of (Pogba’s) life, Barcelona likes three attackers, PSG is Paris and he has a house there. But then there is Real Madrid.”
Rialo has has branded Ibrahimovic’s proposed move to Old Trafford as beautiful and insisted he will continue to talk to Borussia Dortmund about a deal for midfielder Mkhitaryan, but for Pogba it looks like he could be on his way to Madrid.
Pogba left Man United for Turin four years ago on a free transfer after he grew frustrated at a lack of first-team opportunities under Sir Alex Ferguson, but could be willing to return to his former club to work under new boss Mourinho.
There is plenty of competition for the Frenchman but Man United definitely don’t lack the funds and could commit his long-term future to Old Trafford if Madrid decide to pull out of the race.
