Paul Pogba has told his French teammates that he wishes to return to Manchester United, according to L’Equipe.
Reports earlier this week suggested Man United had already agreed a deal with Pogba for wages worth €13m and that Mino Raiola, Pogba’s agent, would be meeting with United this week to discuss a deal.
Now, these separate reports about Pogba having a chat with his France teammates will only go towards strengthening that growing story. Patrice Evra and Anthony Martial are two phenomenal players for France and while Paddy’s time at Old Trafford is done, Martial’s is yet to get fully underway and let’s not forget Morgan Schneiderlin either. United have a very strong connection with the French team already.
The thing with Pogba is that Juventus are going to do everything in their power to keep him hold of him. If not, they are unlikely to budge over his potential price and we will be staring down the barrel of a world record fee for a player we let leave on a free four years ago.
While the stories at the moment can go no further than conjecture as Pogba is still in Euro 2016 with France, when the tournament ends on Sunday everything will likely step up a gear and we may well see some fast movement. Are United really going to re-sign Pogba? It certainly sounds like a possibility.
