Mino Raiola: Juventus have offered Paul Pogba a new contract amid Man United interest

Manchester United target Paul Pogba has been offered a new contract by Juventus amid speculation over his future, according to his agent.

The Old Trafford club allegedly tabled a £100m bid for the Frenchman last week, and Real Madrid are also amongst those interested in capturing his signature.

Pogba is set to respond to United’s offer next week after he returns from Euro 2016 duty with France.

His agent, Mino Raiola insists Juventus are keen to hold on to 23-year-old and have offered him an improved contract.

“He is in no rush to leave, and Juventus do not want him to go. They want him to renew his contract,” he said.

“Several big clubs are interested in Paul Pogba. Juventus are a club that want to keep their star players.”

Juventus’ determination to hold on to Pogba, their biggest talent, is understandable. He has formed the backbone of a side full of serial winners, and, at 23-years-old, promises to develop even more – an enticing prospect to say the least.

But if United do make a nine-figure, world-record offer, it’s hard to see how the Turin club could resist. In terms of financial and commercial muscle, Juventus aren’t in the same bracket.

United fans will hope to see their club smash the world transfer record in order to bring the Frenchman, ostracised so cruelly four years ago, back to Old Trafford.
