Paul Pogba’s agent says ‘let’s see’ when asked about Man United transfer

Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has re-affirmed Juventus’ desire to keep him this summer and said the player is happy at the Italian side.

However, he commented directly on Manchester United rumours and left them completely open by not ruling out a transfer.

Speaking to Sky Italy on Monday night, Raiola said: “Everything can happen with Pogba. But Juventus want to keep him and extend his contract. We will meet soon.

“Paul is happy at Juventus. Man United? Let’s see, but Juventus absolutely don’t want to sell him.

“My % about Pogba to leave Juventus? You can’t always know everything in the life. We’ll see our decision.”

Raiola is just playing the media now and we’re only just over 24 hours since Pogba was playing in the Euro 2016 final. I expected swift movement following the end of the tournament but even this is a little bit faster than I thought it would be.

It almost feels like Raiola is talking for the sake of talking. Two times within the space of a day he’s given detailed quotes directly on Pogba’s future, teasing interest from other clubs and made it clear he’s happy to keep the rumour mill turning and churning. He’s certainly doing his job as a football agent, that’s for sure – Pogba is the talk of the town, not that Juventus will be overly happy.

A key point in this will be when Pogba comments on his future himself or Juventus release an official statement about the situation regarding the Frenchman. There is every chance we’ll get neither in the public domain but with Raiola speaking, maybe Juventus will feel obliged to clarify their own situation rather than let reports take control.
