Di Marzio: Man United offer €101m for Pogba but Juventus want €120m plus bonuses

Gianluca di Marzio’s latest update on Paul Pogba’s move to Manchester United is a major one.

In his report on Tuesday night, Di Marzio confirms a meeting took place today between both clubs and that both Ed Woodward and Mino Raiola were present. The offer was €101m. Di Marzio goes on to say Pogba is leaning towards a move back to Old Trafford thanks in no small part to the huge salary increase he’d personally receive.

As a final point, Di Marzio insists Juventus are going to come back to United with a counter-offer in the region of €120m plus bonuses based on future performances and certain goals achieved by Pogba.

Well, that’s one hell of an update as far as United are concerned. Juventus are for the first time comprehending the fact Pogba may leave this summer and it’s a major step in the right direction towards completing a move for him.

As for the price concerned, it’s somewhat rhetorical; if we are willing to pay €101m for Pogba then we will be happy to pay €120m.

The game changing moment in this whole transfer saga will be Pogba intimating to Juventus that he wants the move. Once that has happened, the only negotiation which stands between Pogba and his move to United is the price which, as we’ve discussed, is not going to be any problem for us.

It really looks like Pogba to United could be happening. I don’t think anybody saw this coming.
