Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola will be presenting Manchester United’s offer of over €100m to Juventus today.
As we covered, the Italian press were all over the Pogba to Man United story on Tuesday. Gazzetta Dello Sport said United were offering €125m for Pogba (which includes €25m for Raiola) and Tutto Sport intimated a deal was on the table as well. Now, following these claims from Sky Sport Italia and Di Marzio, it looks like there is too much smoke to not be a fire.
So, United are really taking some steps forward towards securing Pogba but there is still so much that needs to be negotiate and there is a key element to his transfer which is yet to be discussed. Juventus will want Pogba to agitate and force a move out of the club but at this stage he hasn’t done so; until that happens, the Italian side may dig their heels in.
All in all, it’s an excellent update as far as United fans are concerned. There’s movement now and with an official offer on the table, the negotiations can begin in earnest.
