Manchester United fans were once again left in awe following Eric Bailly’s superb performance in their side’s 3-1 win against AFC Bournemouth on the opening weekend of the 2016/17 season.
The Ivorian announced himself to the world with an immense display against Leicester City last Sunday and on his Premier League debut he scalped even greater heights, failing to put a foot wrong all afternoon alongside Daley Blind at the back.
Man United, now glowing with admiration for the Bailly after an excellent pre-season and first game, didn’t hesitate in praising the 22-year-old.
Love how pro-active Bailly is. That may pro-actively get some a few cards but it's nice having a defender who's unpleasant to play against

Appears that Eric Bailly was actually carved out of rock.

Very early days but hugely impressed by Bailly. Great on the ball, quick and reads the game so well. Comfortable start so far

Eric Bailly looks a quality addition. He's had an excellent half. Not only can he defend, but can also play too.

Bailly is VERY good.

Eric Bailly's distribution from the back is brilliant, I can see a lot of attacks starting from his balls out this season. #mufc

The one thing that stands out about Bailly, above all, is how horrible he must be to face. That huge stature, blistering speed, trickery on the ball and, most notably, sheer ruthlessness when going in for a challenge is the kind of thing strikers have nightmares about.
Jose Mourinho has unearthed a sensational centre-back pairing in Daley Blind and Bailly. Whilst Blind’s game is hallmarked by craft, positional knowhow and superb timing, Bailly brings the power and pain. He regularly leaves opposition players on the floor, making a face as if to say: “What? This is just how I play.”
Out of the three new signings who have featured under Mourinho, Bailly has arguably settled in the fastest and United fans can expect plenty even more from the youngster this season.
