Manchester United fans have unanimously applauded Ander Herrera for his flawless display against Liverpool on Monday night.
The Spaniard, who has been one of Man United’s most consistent performers this season, did not disappoint after Jose Mourinho deployed him in the holding midfielder role alongside Paul Pogba.
The 27-year-old put in a solid shift to help stop a fast and furious Liverpool side from gathering any sort of momentum throughout the entire game.
United fans were full of praise on social media for the midfielder’s disciplined performance as United saw out a goalless draw at Anfield.

Ander Herrera has been really good. Incredible that he's not managed a decent run in the team for two years.

Herrera’s rock solid performance in midfield earned him the Man of the Match award as he completely dominated the game, reading the play well to break off any imminent danger and helping the side get forward.
Although he’s not the tallest player in the squad, what Herrera lacks in physicality, he more than made up for it with an abundance of intelligence and discipline on and off the ball.
Known to be an attacking midfielder for much of his career, the 27-year-old struggled to find much first-team action since his arrival at the club. However, the Spaniard has managed to impress Mourinho as well as the fans with his new role at the club. With yet another perfect night, the Spaniard has certainly cemented a place in the starting XI.
