Manchester United fans were left demanding more after another disappointing display from Paul Pogba after their side were dismantled by Chelsea.

The Frenchman has been heavily criticised following his switch to Old Trafford, largely after becoming the world’s most expensive player, and he has struggled to do his reputation any sort of justice so far.

Despite being deployed in his preferred attacking midfield role, Pogba was missing for most of the game as he failed to link-up play and didn’t manage to pose any kind of threat in front of Chelsea’s goal.

Here’s what fans on social media had to say about Pogba’s performance.

Rojo's been decent since he came on at Half Time. Daley Blind, Chris Smalling & Paul Pogba have been absolutely tragic.

Paul Pogba now has more Premier League bookings than he does goals.

@paulpogba please you know we won't play Fenerbahce everyday right? #mufc

Manchester United sit in 7th place. Disappointing after so much money spent. Paul Pogba looking to be the worst €100m ever spent.

More in Home

Paul Pogba, much like almost the entire #mufc squad, have great talent in abundance that's just being restricted with Mou being pragmatic.

Gary Neville describing Paul Pogba as "garbage"….he is hardly the only Man Utd player in that category today. Big job ahead Jose #MUFC

Given the history between the two clubs, losing to Chelsea is never easy to take, but being humiliated 4-0 is quite a different blow all together.

The United back line was caught napping right from kick-off, and despite their efforts to chase the game, an innumerable amount of defensive errors proved to be too costly in the end.

While the build up was all about Jose Mourinho’s visit to the Bridge, it was was certainly not the outcome the 53-year old would have wanted. It seems like the sheer magnitude of the occasion got to the players and they crumbled. After scoring two goals against Fenerbahce, fans were hoping to see a confident display against Chelsea, but it was quite the opposite.
