Manchester United fans were left with mixed reactions after Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s performance against Manchester City

While the Swede had a disappointing first-half, he certainly stepped his game up when he came back after the break. Though the striker missed a couple of good chances, his ability to hold up play and distribute the ball to his team-mates was brilliant during the second-half.

The Man United No.9 got his first assist for the club when he held up play long enough to lay off the ball for Juan Mata to score the winning goal. The 35-year-old’s creative passing opened up a couple of great chances for both Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba, although none of whom could make the most of it.

While some fans were disappointed with the striker’s showing, others were happy to see him create chances for his team-mates.

I don't understand at all why Zlatan Ibrahimovic is starting. Selection decisions are starting to be more than questionable.

@Ibra_official Zlatan looks uninterested in first half. Needs to play better second half and actually make an effort. #MUFCvMCFC

Ibra realized he's @Ibra_official and made up a very good second half 👏 #MUFC

@ManUtd @Ibra_official Is very useless, can't convert empty post while Mourinho will always leave his best in the bench #Mata
