Marcus Rashford produced a scintillating display from the bench during Manchester United’s 2-0 win over West Ham United in the Premier League.
The youngster, with Man United struggling to break down a ten-man West Ham side, replaced Jesse Lingard after 58 minutes on the left flank.
His influence was immediate and emphatic: suddenly Jose Mourinho’s side had a spring in their step, pouring forward with a renewed vigour, and it was fitting that the 19-year-old made the difference after 62 minutes with a sumptuous assist for Juan Mata.
A quick glance at his stats shed light on what was a game-changing display.

This was Rashford at his blistering, bombastic, unstoppable best: fearless going forward and wonderfully composed, grabbing a knackered West Ham back four by the jugular from the outset.
His first touch saw him turn goalwards, bamboozling the home side with his mazy, devastating prowess on the ball. And he didn’t stop there: a Phil Jones pass went out wide and he was there again, bursting into the box and sending bodies to the floor before teeing up Mata with an inch perfect pass.
Almost a year on from his groundbreaking debut, Rashford continues to send shockwaves across the footballing world, this time securing three vital points for Mourinho’s men.
