Manchester United willing to listen to offers for Memphis Depay and Bastian Schweinsteiger – report

Manchester United are willing to listen to offers for Memphis Depay and Bastian Schweinsteiger in the January transfer window, according to Duncan Castles.

Mourinho has confirmed Memphis won’t receive any first-team action while his future at Old Trafford is still at doubt, as Nice and Everton publicly confirmed their interest in his services, but the Portuguese boss revealed he would reward the Dutchman with game time if he decides to stay.

Bastian Schweinsteiger has fought his way back into the squad and made a cameo appearance against Reading in the FA Cup, coming onto the pitch alongside Timothy Fosu-Mensah in the 80th minute.

Man United have allegedly targeted Antoine Griezmann and Saul Niguez as potential summer recruits, however they are tied down to contracts containing release clauses totalling €170m.

Memphis can learn from Schweinsteiger’s exile at Man United, after the German had won everything there is to win in football, he had to work hard for his place in the side and take each step as it came.

There were high hopes for the Dutchman when he first arrived at the club and although he hasn’t lived up to expectations, Mourinho has offered him the chance to save his career at Old Trafford.
