Manchester United have been drawn against Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup Fourth Round.
Jaap Stam’s Reading were swept aside with a 4-0 romping win on Saturday by Man United and next up will be another familiar face as Warren Joyce is Wigan’s manager.
Joyce was Man United’s U21s manager for a number of years and guided our reserve sides to multiple U21s Premier League titles in what was an excellent period for our younger players. He decided to step into management in the summer but will now be back at Old Trafford sooner than he thought.
For Jose Mourinho, it is a draw he’ll be happy with. A home tie means there will not be any travelling for United and we also managed to avoid any of the big name ties against Premier League rivals. That being said, complacency is something that United can’t let creep in.
The game will be played on the weekend of the 28/29 January.
