Memphis Depay was all smiles in training with Paul Pogba on Monday morning even though his Manchester United career is still up in the air.
The Dutchman has been heavily linked with an Old Trafford exit with Everton and French side Nice highly interested in accruing his signature.
He has hardly played under Jose Mourinho this season and deserves the opportunity to pick up some minutes and develop his game in the Premier League, however anything more than a permanent move could be a costly mistake.

Memphis hasn’t lived up to expectations at United but letting him leave after one disappointing season where he has showcased glimpses of his ability would be a terrible decision, especially after considering Paul Pogba’s summer return as the world’s most expensive player.
Following his showreel at PSV Eindhoven, fans expected the most from Memphis, but it’s not the first time it’s taken a player time to adapt to a change of scene in England.
Jose Mourinho has promised him game time at Old Trafford if he decides to stay, but a loan move to Everton could potentially provide him with the chance to start each week and pick up minutes that won’t be available at Old Trafford, especially with Mourinho looking to rotate his squad.
