Manchester United fans were disappointed with Marcus Rashford‘s performance against Hull City in the League Cup Semi-final on Tuesday night.
The Englishman found a brace against Reading in the FA Cup Third round earlier in the week and was leading the line with Zlatan Ibrahimovic taken ill before the clash.
He has been brilliant since his breakthrough at Old Trafford, but at 19, it’s only natural that he isn’t completely consistent and performing to the best of his abilities especially when he’s playing week in week out.
Here’s what fans on social media had to say about his performance.

Rashford playing as striker today, he's not really impressed
Heavy touches & not much link up play unfortunately
Time to bring Martial on

Today's game shows how big of a miss Ibra is. His hold up play and first touch play is something neither Rashford or Rooney offer. #mufc

Love Rashford but this is why we can't rely on him week in week out, so poor tonight 🙄#MUFC

Rashford has achieved a ridiculous amount since his senior debut in February against FC Midtjylland in the Europa League and there’s plenty of time for him to become a top player at Old Trafford.
Although he was heavily criticised for his showing, a dip in form is completely normal and he has a sensible head on his shoulders with the ability to work hard and develop his game.
Hopes are Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be back in action on Sunday as United host Liverpool at Old Trafford because it’ll be a brilliant opportunity to close the gap on the top four.
