Daley Blind‘s father has confirmed his son is fighting fit following his collision in Manchester United’s 1 – 0 victory over FC Rostov in the Europa League.
He was forced off the pitch at Old Trafford as he took a knock to the head and Jose Mourinho opted to take no chances with his fitness.
The Dutchman has been a vital member of the squad this season and it’ll be a massive boost to have him back in action, especially as Mourinho seems to prefer him at left-back over Luke Shaw.
Speaking about Blind, Holland boss Danny Blind claims he has recovered just fine.
“I have spoken to him as a father and as a coach, and I can tell you that all is well with him,” he said.
Blind sent a message to thank supporters for their kind message and support on social media.
Blind’s removal from the clash looked very precautionary, as team’s do not like to risk keeping a player on the pitch, espcially after any sort of head collision.
He was analysed on the side of the pitch before the decision was made to let him sit out the rest of the match, and it seems a smart one as he’s already back in selection.
