Owen Hargreaves insists Manchester United have a good chance of finishing in the Premier League top four this season.
Jose Mourinho’s men have been in mixed form this campaign, but booked their place in the Europa League quarter-finals on Thursday night after being knocked out of the FA Cup by Chelsea last week.
Man United head into the clash against Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium on Sunday afternoon in sixth place in the Premier League table as they look to qualify for the Champions League.
Speaking about the squad, Hargreaves claims United can go within touching distance of the top four.
“Top four is still a realistic possibility for Manchester United,” he said.
“If they win their games in hand they’ll be within touching distance.
“If they get out of touching distance, the Europa League will become a focal point.”
United now have the opportunity to focus on the Europa League and Premier League as their main aim this campaign under Jose Mourinho is to get back into the Champions League.
Hopes are they can claim all three points against Middlesbrough this weekend as there’s a good chance they’ll be able to finally move out of sixth place.
