An AS Monaco executive has denied receiving any Manchester United offer for Kylian Mbappe in recent weeks, according to L’Equipe.
Cadena Cope stated the Old Trafford club made two offers for Mbappe, one one for €80m and the second at a record-breaking €110m.
Man United allegedly submitted a second offer after the first leg of Manchester City’s Champions League tie against Monaco, but a club official has rubbished reports.
“ASM has not received any offer from any club and in any case has no desire to sell Kylian,” he said via Sport Witness.
The 18-year-old has become one of the hottest prospects in the world of football as he’s enjoyed a spectacular season with 12 goals and five assists in 11 Ligue 1 appearances, including 11 goals in just his last nine games.
He’s an incredible talent and it’s hard to believe he’s only at the start of his career as he looks class on the ball and there’s no doubt Jose Mourinho will be looking to bolster his attacking options.
With Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s future uncertain Mourinho will want to sign a new striker, and to say our problem this season has been our inability to remain clinical in front of goal, Mbappe would be a brilliant addition at Old Trafford.
