Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to miss the rest of Manchester United’s season with the injury he suffered on Thursday night against Anderlecht.
Ibrahimovic hyperextended his knee on landing after a jump for a header and went down holding his knee with what was a bad looking injury. Now, Sky Sports are saying the Swedish striker will not feature again for Man United in the current campaign.

If United manage to get past Celta Vigo in the UEFA Europa League semi-final, then Ibrahimovic will miss the final in his native Stockholm which is a cruel blow for a player who has been instrumental to United’s season with 28 goals.
Marcus Rashford has stepped up in his absence with three goals in four appearances but with so much football coming up Jose Mourinho will be rueing his top goalscorer being ruled out for the season.
That now means Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Juan Mata and Ibrahimovic are all sidelined with serious long-term injuries at a crucial point of the season which only makes United’s job of winning the Europa League and finishing in the top four that much harder.
