Manchester United are considering Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos for a potential summer transfer, according to reports.
Manchester Evening News claim he is looking for a move to the Premier League after a move to Barcelona fell through, as Jose Mourinho has made experimental enquiries.
The side explored the possibility of signing Marquinhos last year but were turned away by his massive transfer fee, especially after spending £30million on Eric Bailly from Villarreal.
He joined PSG from Roma in 2013 and has just two years left on his contract, but reports claim he has recently begun talks over a renewal.
Man United are on the lookout for a new defender in the summer and with Marcos Rojo becoming their third centre-half to pick up an injury within a month, a deal is more likely to be complete.
Marquinhos could become a solid player at Old Trafford, especially at 22 as the Brazilian has plenty of time to develop his game under Mourinho.
It remains to be seen if a deal would go through but Mourinho has proven he can be persuasive and if he sets his sights on Marquinhos, we could see him in a United shirt.
