James Rodriguez’s father has reacted to a potential move for his son away from Real Madrid, claiming he’d love to see him start elsewhere.
The Colombian looked to all four corners of the Santiago Bernabeu applauding the fans following Real’s 4-1 win over Sevilla and it’s convinced supporters he will be leaving this summer.
Reports in Spain claim Man United already have a deal in place to sign Rodriguez, which will be announced after Real’s last league game should Ed Woodward pay their asking price of around £64 million.
Speaking on Spanish radio, his father claims he’d love to see Rodriguez anywhere else but on the bench at Madrid.
This ties well into James' father going on Spanish radio last night saying "I wanna see him start elsewhere, than sit on the bench at Madrid"

He cost the Spanish club £71 million in 2014 after his spectacular performances for Colombian in the World Cup and they’ll be looking to get back most of the money they’ve spent.
Mourinho will be looking to bolster his options following a disappointing Premier League campaign and should the side return to the Champions League then the Portuguese boss will have no problems recruiting the biggest names in football.
Rodriguez wants to play more regularly and there’s no doubt he can go on to become an irreplaceable part of the squad should he make the move to Manchester this summer.
