Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign Espanyol’s teenage midfielder Arnau Puigmal according to reports from Spain.
Sport.es reports Puigmal has agreed terms with Man United and that he will become the club’s first signing this summer in the coming weeks.
Having been with Espanyol for five seasons in their youth academy, Puigmal is a player who has been touted as a future first-teamer for the Spanish side so he is considered a fine midfield prospect and one who will improve United’s options with the U18s.
Siiii joder!!! Campeones del @micfootball en una final muy competida. Contento por ayudar al equipo con un gol y por recibir el MVP del torneo. Dar las gracias a mis compañeros, sin vosotros esto no podria haber sido posible!! ⚽️🔵⚪️🏆
Puigmal has previously played against United’s academy sides so his performance in that game would certainly have contributed to United’s interest, as will his breakthrough into the Spain U16s team and MVP performance in a recent tournament which Espanyol won.
We will bring you further news on Puigmal’s move to Manchester when there is more information or when the teenager himself speaks out about it but it looks like the young Spaniard will be calling Manchester home very soon.
