Josh Harrop hallmarked a fantastic senior debut with a wonderfully taken goal during Manchester United’s 2-0 win over Crystal Palace.
The 21-year-old, who claimed a hat-trick against Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the week, was handed a chance to impress on the left hand side by Jose Mourinho.
And he made a thunderous start to his senior career, rifling a powerful drive into the top corner after 15 minutes that set the tone for what was an ebullient display going forward.
His stats from the game tell you all you need to know about what was a confident display.

This will be a day that Harrop will never forget: endless hours of training in various age brackets, working tirelessly through the ranks, spurred on by the hope that maybe, just maybe, he’ll walk out to 70,000 supporters and lead the line for the club he loves.
And you could see, as he wheeled off to celebrate after bypassing the entire Palace back four, the sheer joy of finally living that moment. He would have known that the clash with Sam Allardyce’s men presented a rare chance to impress from the start under Mourinho, and he duly grabbed it with both hands, perhaps prompting further opportunities down the line.
