Antoine Griezmann has urged Alexandre Lacazette to be patient and wait for Atletico Madrid to complete their current transfer ban before making a decision on his future.
Lacazette admitted this summer would have been the perfect time to make a move after seven years as part of the first-team at his home-town club.
He’s scored 129 goals in 275 appearances for Lyon and reached a new personal best of 37 for a single campaign set in 2016-17, Atletico were expected to sign him when the window re-opens, but following the recent transfer ban, they will be unable to bring in any fresh faces until January 2018.
Speaking about a potential move, Griezmann insists Lacazette should remain patient.
“Yes it is a shame for him, because he would have come but in December, we will be knocking on the door again,” he said.
He will have several options this summer as he decides his future at Old Trafford and reports claim Manchester United to have joined long-term suitors Arsenal and Liverpool in the race to bring the 26-year-old to the Premier League.
Lacazette has a massive decision to make, but with United switching their priorities with Zlatan Ibrahimovic ruled out, he could be the perfect addition.
