Manchester United have come very close to Inter Milan’s €55m asking price for Ivan Perisic, according to reports.
He has allegedly already agreed to personal terms with Jose Mourinho, although Inter have previously turned down a €40m offer as they want around €60m for the 28-year-old.
Calciomercato.it claim Man United have presented a new bid which is not far off the minimum €55m asking price.
They will consider their options over the next few days as Perisic is now closer than ever to a move to Old Trafford.
Inter need to raise funds by June 30 to balance the books within Financial Fair Play parameters as they still need to make around €30m to avoid being fined.
He was signed from Wolfsburg for €19m in the summer of 2015 and has scored 11 goals and registered 12 assists in 42 competitive games for the Biscione.
It’s clear United are looking to complete their business early this summer as we’ve continued to be linked with many names and it seems like a potential move for Perisic could actually be decided within the next few days.
Mourinho is looking to bring players in who are capable of challenging for silverware in the Champions League and Premier League, and it seems like Perisic is who he wants.
