Manchester United target Marco Verratti has asked to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer, according to reports in France.
He’s one of the hottest talents in football and it looks like he’s coming to an end to his five years in the French capital.
Veratti has allegedly met with PSG’s new sporting director, Antero Henrique, this week to confirm the decision to him.
A deal is expected to be in the region of €80 million (£70.2m) as Juventus, Barcelona and Man United are interested in acquiring his services this summer.
Juventus are said to see Verratti as their long-term replacement for Andrea Pirlo, although Barcelona believe he could also become Andres Iniesta’s successor at the Nou Camp.
He claimed he’s ready to play for a top team earlier in the season and when it comes to Man United, the name, the stature, the appeal and history is almost unmatched by any other club.
With Champions League football under Jose Mourinho’s belt, following the Europa League victory, he’ll know how to get the top players when it comes to securing one of Europe’s finest midfielders this summer.
