Adnan Januzaj has sent a message to Manchester United supporters after completing his transfer to Real Sociedad this summer.
He was once one of the hottest prospects in football after bursting onto the Premier League scene in the 2013/14 campaign under David Moyes.
However, he has since failed to live up to his potential following failed loan spells at Borussia Dortmund and Sunderland over the past two seasons, now being identified as a surplus to requirements by Jose Mourinho.
He has taken to social media to thank Man United fans for their support, along with past teammates and managers.
Januzaj posted on Twitter: “Where to start… I’ve had some incredible moments with Manchester United since I joined.
“I want to say a massive thank you to all my team-mates that have come and gone from the club. It’s been a pleasure to play with you all.
“Thank you to some of the coaches and staff that work at Manchester United to make it such a great club!
“Unfortunately, my time at the club has come to an end and it didn’t go the way I wanted it to go but I will always have love for Manchester United.
“And finally, a huge thank you to the fans that have stuck by me through the good and bad times! I will never forget that positive support. Thank you #GGMU”.
A deal cost the La Liga side around £9million and his new deal is believed to be a five-year contract.
It’s a shame it didn’t work out for him at United but hopes are he’ll be able to get his career back on the right track.
