Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has warned Real Madrid he will try his best to keep his team-mate at the club.
De Gea has continued to be linked with a move to Real this summer, with reports claiming that Man United are expecting another bid, although it may be under their valuation for the Spaniard.
He claimed he was happy at Old Trafford and was looking forward to building on his future under Jose Mourinho, however, he is expected to make the move to Spain at some point in his career.
Speaking about his team-mate, Herrera claims he’s happy to stay at United.
“He’s happy and I know I sound repetitive because I always say the same thing,” said Herrera.
“But David is one of the few goalkeepers who gives you points so I’m going to do my best to keep him here.”
“Now we are one of the rivals to beat and we have returned to the Champions League, we have a strong team and a winning coach, so let’s go for everything!”
