Manchester United are now finally close to completing a deal for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic.
The Independent’s Miguel Delaney leads the reports and for Man United fans it brings us one step closer to the end of a transfer saga which we’re all going to be very glad to see the back of.
Perisic now very close. Will be good signing. Crosses the ball almost five times more than United's current wingers – needed with Lukaku!

In what has been an exhaustive game of cat and mouse, Ed Woodward has negotiated with Inter Milan over the price of Perisic but for so long was unwilling to head towards the £45m mark which Inter wanted for the 28-year-old. Yet, if a deal is now indeed nearly over the line then a middle ground has been found.
Is it to do with Chris Smalling or Matteo Darmian who have both been mooted as being a potential part of this deal? Or even Anthony Martial which some wild speculation in Sky Italy suggested. Either way, United fans would just be happy to see the deal either be finalised or collapse – just get it over and done with at this stage.
The deadline day for Perisic isn’t Tuesday per se but with Inter flying out to China for their pre-season tour, both the Italian club and Perisic himself will want his future resolved before then. So, we’re expecting there to be plenty of developments over the next 24 hours and we will bring you them as soon as they happen.
