Romelu Lukaku insists he is excited by what Jose Mourinho is building at Manchester United.
He’s hoping he will be able to improve himself as Man United look to win silverware this season, continuing from last campaign.
The Portuguese boss bought Lukaku from Everton for a £75million fee last month and he’ll be leading the side as Mourinho looks to guide the side back to winning ways after four seasons without winning the Premier League.
Speaking about the side, Lukaku is delighted to be part of the rebuilding process.
“The club is in a rebuilding process and the manager is doing the right things to take the club back to where it belongs,” he said.
“That’s the exciting part. I think he’s a manager to help us win trophies.
“The club is there to help me, but I’m a team player and I want to win trophies. That’s the most important thing – trophies before everything.
“So if I can help my team-mates to do that, I’ll be delighted.”
“I just want to improve constantly. I don’t want to have time to be complacent.
“I want to become better every single day and work as hard as I can. If you play for a big club, then you have to act like a big player and perform, week-in, week-out.
He scored 25 goals for Everton last season and will be only looking to improve further with a better team around him.
Lukaku has bags of potential and has everything he needs in place to succeed at Old Trafford.
